Released In: 1993 In the year 2065 AD, the Earth is split into two warring factions, the evil Axis forces and noble Federation. As Jake, a newly trained Federation pilot, you are given control of a Cybernator mech and thrust into combat against the Axis army. You will fight this war on many fronts: in space, on the Moon, in the Earth's atmosphere, and finally, in the enemy's capital. Cybernator is the sequel to the 1990 Sega Genesis game Target Earth. Syd Lexia: Five words: GIANT FUCKING MODE 7 EXPLOSIONS! Valdronius: I fight not for patriotism or justice. I fight because I am a soldier. Lines like this are cool. Armored Mech suits are cool. Opening a game with forcible penetration, also cool. Comically large punch glove as an auxillary weapon? Not cool. Murdar Machene: A well-rounded sidescrolling mech shooter. Upbeat music, solid controls, appealing sprites and the somewhat varied mission structure alternating from sidescroller to shoot 'em up keeps you entertained quite well. I like it. |
