Final Fight
#46: Final Fight

Released In: 1991
Developer: Capcom
Publisher: Capcom

Capcom's less than perfect port of their arcade classic lacks a co-op mode, the playable character Guy, and the Industrial Area stage that ended with the boss fight against Rolento. Aside from that, it's the same game you know and love: The evil Mad Gear, led by Horace Belger, has kidnapped Metro City mayor Mike Haggar's daughter Jessica. Rather than give into Belger's demands, Haggar decides to personally beat the shit out of every single member of Mad Gear, with help from Jessica's boyfriend Cody.

Syd Lexia: Final Fight rules. It's not quite as cool as Streets of Rage and the box art looks like gay porn, but Haggar is badass.

Valdronius: There's not a whole lot to say about this game. It's a straight forward beat 'em up with two playable characters. The amazing thing about this game is the longevity and popularity of the characters. Both Haggar and Andore have made appearances since this game, so for something relatively simplistic, Capcom certainly did something right.
