Released In: 1996 Take control of everyone's favorite creampuff, Kirby, in this collection of short platformers and minigames which includes Spring Breeze, Dyna Blade, Gourmet Race, The Great Cave Offensive, Revenge of Meta Knight, Milky Way Wishes, The Arena, Samurai Kirby, and Megaton Punch. Spring Breeze is a remake of Kirby's original Game Boy adventure, Kirby's Dream Land. Syd Lexia: I would have preferred a full-fledged Kirby platformer to this collection of quasi-games, but I guess it's better than nothing. Hell, it's more than just "better than nothing", it's incredibly fun, especially with two players. Murdar Machene: A great game to play with a friend. I like the unlockables, it has quality co-op (gotta love barfing food into your friend's mouth), it's not too difficult and it's visually pleasing. The only thing I find lacking is the 2 player versus mode, and the abundance of slowdown when playing co-op. Douche McCallister: This is the game I bought instead of Chrono Trigger. As you can see by its ranking it wasn’t the best choice, but the game itself was still a blast. It had a bunch of 2 player modes too, and since I had friends back then it was a damn good time. I think they could have done away with the gourmet race and the other craptastic games that they bundled in there though. Eight games in one? Riiight. More like three games, three minigames, and two really short quests that are part of the last two games you unlock. Way to manipulate the masses, HAL. |
