I dunno if there's already a thread for this, but whatever. The idea is pretty self-explanatory, just list some of the movies that gave you trouble falling asleep at night when you were at a younger and more impressionable age. I'm gonna put mine in order, but you don't have to do the same and you can have more than 5 if you want. But anyway, here are the films that made me look like this smilie :

5. Batman

As if Jack Nicholson's Joker performance wasn't creepy enough for a child, I was absolutely FREAKED OUT when I saw the look on that news reporter lady's face after falling to her death after being exposed to the Joker's deadly chemical. Her face makes me laugh now because it's goofy and unrealistic, but it was different for me then.

4. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

The part where that guy chooses the wrong grail and starts aging ridiculously fast? Yep, that did it for me. Nowadays, I just laugh at the immortal crusader who states the obvious: "He chose... poorly." Lol, no shit?

3. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

The part where Indie tells that woman to keep her eyes closed? Yeah, I couldn't help but follow the very same instructions during that scene as a kid.

2. The Sandlot

Seriously, this is such a good movie. It has charm, laughs, a good story about a kid in his new neighborhood making friends, and it's one of the few flicks I know of with Denis Leary where he doesn't cuss (or at least I don't remember him cussing). But dear goodness, that giant dog freaked me out to say the least. The fake archive footage of its owner (played by James Earl Jones) that was narrated by one of the main kids gave me nightmares. Then again, I laughed at the end when the kid repeats "Forever, forever, forever...", so that's why this doesn't belong to first place.

1. The Twilight Zone Movie

The opening part where that man turns into a monster (played by Dan Aykroyd) was pretty creepy, but it was hard for me to be scared by Aykroyd. The first two segments aren't creepy at all for me, but it was the third where that kid had special powers that terrified me. Besides the fact that he reminded me of my spoiled, over-privileged cousin, it was the bunny that did it for me. I couldn't watch Bugs Bunny the same way again ever after watching this film. Honorable mentions go to the mouthless girl and the monster on the plane in the final segment.

Yeah, I'm done with my top five. I normally don't type very much, so this is quite unusual for me. I might mention some runners-up if I feel like it.

Didn't the second movie end with the main bad dog surrounded by demons and his soul ends up getting claimed by Satan? I think that's how it went, although I could be wrong. If I recall correctly, then that ending is too much for a kids movie!

Another honorable mention goes to John Carpenter's The Thing. Sure, that's one of the few actual horror movies I've mentioned (besides Twilight Zone) but I saw when I was older at the age of 12, so it didn't do very much for me like the others did. The part where that fat guy's head falls off and turns into some spider-alien-thing-a-ma-jig doesn't freak me out anymore but it still impresses me to this day because of the awesome FX!

Quite honestly, it creeps me out still but it never traumatized me like Twilight Zone Movie did.
