Dihydrogen monoxide is a deadly substance that can be found nearly anywhere.

It causes erosion, accelerates corrosion and is found in tumor tissues.

Avoid it at ALL COSTS. If it helps you, it's more commonly known by it's molecular formula, H20.

I tried that in middle school, but by then it had already been around and was pretty stale. Like Jew's mom. Bell

What about the dangers of the chemical known as α-D-glucopyranosyl-(1↔2)-β-D-fructofuranose (C12H22O11)?

It's a chemical that many companies put into food as an additive, but it poses many dangers to ones health, such as:

Tooth-decay - has arguably become the most prominent health-hazard associated with the consumption of this chemical. Oral bacteria such as Streptococcus Mutans live in dental plaque and metabolize sugars into lactic acid. High concentrations of acid may result on the surface of a tooth, leading to tooth demineralization.

Diabetes - a disease that occurs when either:

The body's cells ignore insulin, a chemical that allows the metabolizing of certain chemicals (Type 2 diabetes)
the body attacks the cells producing the insulin (Type 1 diabetes)
When glucose builds up in the bloodstream, it can cause two problems:

In the short term, cells become starved for energy because they do not have access to the glucose
in the long term, frequent glucose build-up can damage many of the body's organs, including the eyes, kidneys, nerves and/or heart

Authorities advise diabetics to avoid foods containing more than small amounts of α-D-glucopyranosyl-(1↔2)-β-D-fructofuranose to prevent adverse reactions.

In 2003, four United Nations agencies, (including the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)) commissioned a report compiled by a panel of 30 international experts. The panel stated that the total amount of α-D-glucopyranosyl-(1↔2)-β-D-fructofuranose should not account for more than 10% of the energy intake of a healthy diet.

You have been warned.

Ah, yes, this joke. I was in my chem class the other day, and I had been passed to the bathroom. When I was coming back, my teacher was pulling this joke and no one was getting that it was water. And this was an honors class. So on my way back to my seat, I say "It's water". Everyone was all "OH!"

Well, it wasn't destined to be one of the greats. Had to happen sometime.
