It seems CNN has done a piece on steroids in pro wrestling. Below are video for those who missed it or just don't have cable.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Part 6

However, the WWE is upset with CCN, not because this documentary mainly focuses on the WWE, but rather because of major editing during John Cena's interview.

20/20 did the same thing to Mick Foley years ago. When they are doing a segment on Backyard Wrestling, they were interviewing Mick Foley and showed him different videos and asked for his opinions on them. One of the first videos they showed him were some kids wrestling (regular horseplay, not pro wrestling) around in the grass, and Mick's comment was "Looks like fun."

They then showed him a clip of Backyard wrestling kids breaking glass over each other and jumping off of roofs. Mick said that the kids were crazy and stupid. And, that they shouldn't be doing any of that stuff without proper training.

When the segment aired, they showed the violent clip, and used Mick's "Looks like fun." comment for it. Mick was pissed, and wrote a huge rant about it in his 2nd Autobiography.

Sadly, it's not. When it happened to Mick, he went straight to Linda McMahan, asking if he could sue. She explained to him that all they did was "misrepresent the facts." Since all the footage they used was from the same conversation. Just like in print when you misquote someone by skipping ahead.

For instance when ever you see bad movies, yet their trailers and posters will have review snips from various papers and critic that are surrounded by "...'s"

Such as "...An overload of action..." might be from a review that really said, "The storyline and acting are absolutely terrible, and it looks like the producers tried to mask it under an overload of action that it stupid and pointless."

This is why the WWE has learned to use thier own cameramen to tape the interview tapings, just so they can protect themselves from the media trying to change thier words, or people's answers. That's why you can see the full version of John Cena's interview, becasue the WWE covered thier asses.

Update:

-- After World Wrestling Entertainment posted a video on their web site showing John Cena's comments in response to being asked if he had ever taken steroids on CNN's special "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling", it seems that CNN edited its special during the third airing.

It appears that on Sunday's show, CNN edited it to show that Cena in fact said "Absolutely Not" when asked, it was reportedly only a 5 second edit. The rest of Cena's interview remained the same.

Now John Cena is requesting a public apology from CNN.

as a side note, the link to the WWE website in my first post isn't working since CNN edited the footage
