I guess thats what happens when you lock Ronald McDonald up in The Scarlet Mansion Basement for 500 years.

Jesus Christ. At 3:25, he actually throws burgers. Is this a real game, or some indy project?

It doesn't come from this game. The voice samples came from some weird Japanese McDonald ads
where Ronald McDonald tells children to do exercise or something like that (hence why you see him with a soccer ball or on a skateboard during the game).

He throws burgers as soon as 1:15. Also, if you choose the Extra difficulty and somehow manage to go far enough (it's fucking hard), he starts throwing giant M symbols at you, then makes them spin around while burgers fill up the screen and another line of burgers is chasing you. Awesome.

I reacted like that when I found out that he's actually trying to pee on you at 4:53.

It's a Danmafuku script. Danmafuku is a program where people can create their own bullet hell games. You just install the scripts in it and it's playable.
If you want to try the game, a guy put up download links in his video description : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqOuXJav3PY

I don't think I want to play this. My bullet hell skills range are somewhere in the fair - average range, and this is clearly above that difficulty level. And I simply don't have the patience for a 6 minute boss battle.

if im reading it right, you could make your own bullet hell game, so it could be less bullets and less hell.

Are you good at math? Making bullet hell games apparently makes you use a lot of sinus and cosinus fonctions to program the trajectory of your bullets.
Also, tried Extra and reached the point where Easy cuts off (about halfway through the fight). I died two attacks later because it's fucking insane.
I'd say the jump in difficulty from Easy to Extra is about the same as the one from SMB to Japanese SMB2.
I'll try to do better.

I could just create paths and assign them to projectiles in Game Maker. It's not too hard, just gonna be a pain in the ass.

There can be over a hundred bullets on the screen at times. Programming the game to create bullets in a sinus wave is much faster than giving paths to bullets 1 through 100.
Attacks usually have a random factor anyway, which you can't really reproduce if you program every single bullet.

I could have like 10-20 kinds of bullets and make random functioning versions of them for bosses and the like, since I don't really know sinus functions.

There's a gravity/friction modifier built into Game Maker's development engine if that helps.

Those are the basics for the program. Good luck understanding any of that crap.
Found out why the sound is all fucked up in my vid. HyperCam can't record in stereo
I'm trying to get around this problem by recording the sound with that recorder thing in the windows accessories, but it creates an ASF file which I need to convert.
That seems to take really fucking long though. I started it 30 minutes ago and it's not even a quarter of the way through. I hope it won't give me some 10 GB audio file.

Added the Extra difficulty because it shows the full boss battle (WARNING : Bombs are LOUD).
Apparently there was a third one, which I unlocked by clearing the Extra difficulty. The Donatic difficulty looks like this :
WHAT THE HELL

Does this work in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil? could you change graphics in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil? This would be great for my concept of Doom as a bullet hell shooter.

I highly doubt it's compatible. Translators usually say it's a pain in the ass to hack the game to change the text, so I don't think you really can do much with the .dat files.

I might just use Game Maker and create/find a bullet hell engine I can modify to my liking them.

Fuck... I was less than a second away from beating him in extra... so close.
Edit: BEAT IT! With 1 life to spare. Donatic mode is pretty impossible though.
