What kind of game is this?

I couldn't tell based on the video from E3. Is it a standard 3rd person game? Is it a fighting game? Is it a RPG? Is it Final Fantasy?

Details? Anyone?

This game, like most of the rest of Nintendo's presentation this year, looks like utter shit. Fuck Team Ninja.

Also, Microsoft sucked yesterday, too.

I completely disagree, I embrace Team Ninja and am very very excited about this game.

Samus looks more hardcore then ever!!

Also, GP, from what I could tell it seems third person with some first-person elements.

I totally agree, their show really killed it, one of the best in years. I am still reeling over galaxy 2...

By hardcore do you mean she looks more like she belongs in a rape game? I posted about that earlier... no more of that shit.

If you mean that she looks badass and ready to kill some metroids, sure. I guess. I couldn't really follow it well. I look forward to a better gameplay trailer that demonstrates the actual perspective we will control her with.

Did I mention, I fucking hate it when characters from non-anime games get stylized in an anime fashion?

I know the gameplay is going to be there though, I have complete faith in Team Ninja, they know about solid controls.

I am currently playing through the DS iteration of Ninja Gaiden and loving every second of it.

I'm pretty happy with Nintendo's Wii presentation.

Everything looked cool. Other M in particular. FINALLY A NINTENDO PROTAGONIST FUCKING TALKS!!!

I wonder if they are going to get the same chick who voiced Samus in smash bros, to do the voice work in this game. I thought she sounded very appropriate in Smash.

I keep watching this trailer over and over, I really cannot wait for it, 2010 is too far away.

All those maneuvers where Samus grabs the enemy from the back, swings them to the ground and blast them point blank to the face with her arm cannon are ultra nasty.

The Team Ninja influence is very recognizable.

Probably not. The director of the game said in interview he's keeping samus' body naturally proportioned, from the trailer even less so then other games

Am I the only one that thinks this looks meh? It just doesn't feel like a Metroid game to me.
