I had this idea of having some of Syd's meme's or GAR, hell there's a shit ton of images there and put that shit on shirts and on the back have something like "SydLexia.com" or something advertising the site.

GAR shirts would be great. I've been wanting to make some custom t-shirts once I get some money because I know a guy who runs a place that does that shit around here.

If I actually get to it (don't count on it) and no one else has done it first, I'd make and ship shirts, with Syd's permission of course. I'd probably charge a bit, but I'd be willing to take a loss for such awesome shirts.

Regardless, I want to make some for myself, not just that, but I have a few shirt ideas.

RIP Hacker.

Why would a shirt that says "pop culture 4 life" have a picture of NOT pop culture on it? It would seem odd to use that as a t-shirt (and thusly advertisement) as it's not a very accurate portrayal of what the site's about.

Think as an outsider, someone who has not been to this site: the shirt says "pop culture 4 life" and has a picture of someone that you've never seen before in your life ever. The line is fine, but the images need to be something that would be evocative of feelings of nostalgia.

I wasn't necessarily thinking of it as a form of advertisement. I just thought it would look cool on a shirt. It's not like I go a lot of places anyways for people to see it. It would more or less be for my own amusement.

I was just having fun.

I learned how to do the Obamafy look with Photoshop gradient maps and felt like applying it to something.

Then I took it a step further and changed it to Syd's colors.

The slogan "Pop Culture 4 Life" was a combination of two things.

1) The site's dedication to pop culture
2) Your brother wrote PHPBB 4 Life in a thread at one point. I found it amusing.

But for the sake of argument, what is to say that we can't create a new pop culture icon out of Syd's face?

Its invitingly baffling. You pretty much HAVE to know then why this individual is the face of pop culture then. You can get pictures of pop culture nonsense anywhere else, but only at sydlexia can you get syd's mug on your torso.

This is why you don't get T-shirts with your face on them. That and Dr. Vink is copyrighted by Nickelodeon and in RL your probably some hideous neckbeard.
