Last Friday, I went to a magic shop that I frequent because it also sells used video games, and while browsing through the Sega Genesis cartridges, I came across a game called Exodus. I simply bought it just so I could tell people that I own a Wisdom Tree cart. While the game is pretty crappy, I think it may be better than most of the other crappy games Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree has released.

Anyway, who here has a Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree game?

As we all know, Valdronius had Spiritual Warfare.

A friend of a friend had the whole Bible Game NES Collection (religious nut).

I had the Maxi-15 multicart from AVE, and for some reason Menace Beach was on it.

And then there's this: I had a cartridge of a game called "Challenge of the Dragon" by Color Dreams. I think I got it in a stack of games from an old video store, it had the "rental" label on it.

Anyways, when I popped it in, it was...Rush 'N Attack.

Turns out someone unscrewed the back of the game and switched the boards out.

Which leads me to the conclusion...someone out there actually -stole- a Color Dreams game from a video store by switching out the guts and replacing it with Rush 'N Attack.

Why?

I used to have a few Color Dreams game. The only one worthy of mention was Crystal Mines. Imagine if Pac-man had a gun & bombs, and you've basically got the gist of it.

Crystal Mines was the shit. I remember everyone having it too. I thought we were like, excluding it for some reason here, oh well. And BTW I bought it with the box for five dollars a year or two ago. That and Tetris 2 are probably my best time killing games I own. Tetris 1 I used to love but I hated how for most fun you have to wait like twenty levels.

<Drew_Linky> Well, I've eaten vegetables all of once in my life.

Well, I knew that Valdronius reviewed that game. It's just a Zelda clone, I'm guessing out of it.

That story totally made my night. I mean, who the hell would want to steal a Color Dreams game? Laughing

Apparently, that game is Wolfenstein 3D with a graphic makeover. Neutral

That game actually sounds decent. But on a side note, Exodus is really Crystal Mines with a graphic makeover and some religious quizzing at the end of every level.

They still sell the games on CD for like 10$ on their website. Are they ever going to get around to pirating any more recent games to have a Christian theme? How about a GTA clone where you preach the evils of abortion on the corner of a busy intersection?

I also recall a Color Dreams game called "Master Chu and Drunkard Hu". Add it to the list of "Generic NES action/platformers that try and fail to match the glory of Super Mario".

Super Noah's Ark 3D is a game I'm somewhat glad to own, I guess you could say. Just because It's a Wolf 3D Graphic Change, the game is still pretty funny. Bible Buffet is a great game too, it's alot like Candy Land in a video game, but it's got mini-games and stuff for the levels. I've got Spiritaul Warfare which I liked, also got Sunday Funday (Very Average Game). The best of all Christian related games in my opinion is a game called Noah's Ark by Konami, it's alot of fun and you should check it out if you find it in a bargain bin. King of Kings and Bible Adventures are the absolute worst, they just aren't fun at all and finally Joshua and the Battle of Jericho is a bit better than King of Kings and Bible Adventures, but it's still very very mediocre. That's all the games I own.

Actually, I'd like Wisdom Tree to make that kind of game. This Is A Joke

Here is their website, for those who are interested.

I think I tried that game before, and I have to admit, it's pretty hilarious.

Holy crap, you can play the Wisdom Tree games online on their site!

Funny.

Some of them are paid downloads, though. Kind of wonder what "Jesus in Space" is.

It sounds like a premise for a really cheesy Sci-Fi flick.

JESUS IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!

That is probably the most awesome action figure I've ever seen. Very Happy

I honestly don't see any redeeming qualities with it, but I guess if you like it...
The controls are about as smooth as those Simpsons NES games.

Remembered another Color Dreams game: Captain Comic. Imagine a really REALLY awful Ninja Gaiden rip-off with awful hit detection and no cutscenes. One of the reasons why I only played this game a total of maybe two times was the time it took for the game to respond to your button presses; you press B, and it literally takes at least 2.5 seconds for a bullet to actually appear onscreen. Not a good thing in a side-scroller.

I don't really remember much about it except that it was easy to glitch; my brothers and I used to see how fast we could lose by throwing baby moses in the river, and that it wasn't the least played Nintendo game we owned.

I can see the novelty in owning one of these. Similar to the novelty of owning a copy of Shaq Fu (which I do).
