An old lady on the bus called me a fag and said that I have to take my skirt off.
My SKIRT.
 .
It's a TIED KEFFIYEH, for fuck's sake. It does NOT resemble a skirt in any way.
Jeez, old people.

Hmmmm... Did you say something incredibly offensive back? Something racist and ignorant?
It's all they understand.
Say that it's a terrorist symbol and you will hijack the bus if she doesn't get off at the next stop.
That'll be hilarious.

Nah, I just told her that it's a free country and she can shove her conservative Catholic ways up her ass.
I did that just before getting off the bus, so she wouldn't chase me. Those purses may look innocent, but believe me - they carry BRICKS in them.

That is only a secondary usage of the bricks. Firstly, it is a puzzle to idiots. You may wonder how, and that's just it, there is no puzzle, but the brick continues to mystify new idiots daily.

I came from a wedding and was downtown with my friends, when a BUM, like a legitimate BUM, told me I need to take off my tie while I was walking down the street, because I thought I was "special". I said you wish you could afford one huh? Then he asked me if I could spare some money.

Not to be the ugly American or anything, but two quick questions:
1. Why was it tied around your waist?
2. Do you have any business wearing a keffiyeh anyway?

It's a traditional Pakistani scarf. It is generally worn on the head or around the face to keep the sun out or to keep the sand out of your face. It is taken the wrong way by many, but really it isn't a hate filled garment. There are a wide range of people that have worn them, from British Colonel T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) to Arafat. So good and bad have worn them. Why he is has it on the waste is beyond me, but it has been a fashion item off and on through out the years.

Allright, to answer your question: My backpack was full, so I had to tie it. The waist seemed like a good place, since it was warm.
