The news section of Sydlexia.com has been upgraded.

It would be appreciated if you could all storm over there and click shit. Let me know if anything was broken during the upgrade. I was unable to find anything that is busted up.

For those who didn't even know we had a news section... we do.

The URL is:
http://sitenews.sydlexia.com

Thanks guys.

Was the header stretched out to cover the whole page, or was it always like that?

It's been like that since it's been its own subdomain. The old news page had a different header.

I agree the URL is better.

Syd, it has been 2 years, can we make the old site "Sydlexia.com/oldnews" and the new site can be sydlexia.com/news again?

Doing so would be damaging to my SEO rankings.

I completely disagree.

Google considers sub domains separate from their parent domains.

It would be damaging to the news section. It's already on Google. Moving it from a subdomain to the top level domain would lead to unpleasantness.

I am going to use made up numbers, you probably have the real ones though.

Right now you have:
(Main Site Page Hits, 1000) = Total (1000)
(News Site Page Hits, 250) = Total (250)

Instead of:
(Main Site Page Hits, 1000) + (News Site Page Hits, 250) = Total (1250)

If you are going purely on links, then consider that your web of internal links would be much higher. Almost all links would be internal instead of external.
