White and gold was a good choice.

Lol
I would say my partial color blindness makes me see that dress as white and gold, but I only have issues distinguishing between lighter shades of red/green and lighter shades of blue/purple.

I am apparently the only person to see blue and brownish-gold

I thought people were bullshitting when they said they see that dress as white and gold. I guess some people have brains that like to mess with them.

Same. I can't make myself see white and gold at all unless I kind of adjust my perspective to assume the white and gold is the result of a lens flare.

There is no white, there is no black.

I always saw it as blue and black, but yesterday morning I woke up and pulled up the ol' Twitter and saw it. It was white and gold. Looked at the same post a couple hours later, and it was blue and black. That's the only reason I didn't write it off as a joke. That said, I'm a complete knob for even thinking about it.

I've seen both images where it is obviously black and blue, and others where it is white and gold.
I'd like to see the dress in person to see if I can recreate the effect with nothing but my eyes and the lighting in the room.

I didn't even know about how many people were going bonkers over this until the gang started posting about it on RD. It all seems pointlessly overblown. I saw only white and gold, never anything else. Who cares?

I have no idea what the hell anyone is talking about. Did the forum colors change for everybody except me? Is there some new article out? What's this dress everyone keeps talking about?

This is a meme? Good lord...
Listen people, lighting effects, whether from digital editing or terrible photo-taking, can make a big difference to the point it can make anything look like a totally different color in a photo. Is it that hard to comprehend?
Of course some people think it's white and gold because it just looks that way in the photo, which is a very shitty one: the blue is brightened enough to where it looks like white in shade while the black has those yellowish brown spots to make it appear gold. Once you see the dress's real colors in a quality photo, however, it becomes easier to look back at the shitty photo and imagine it being blue and black. Same thing happens when you have a shitty scanner.

I know this thread is ancient, but that picture was fucking hilarious, along with all the arguments about it.
