Strangers in Paradise, by Terry Moore.
Tambi has become one of my all time favorite characters, from any story. I love the rest of them, but there's something enigmatic about her.
That having been said, SiP is blowing my mind in general. It's incredible in its scope and presentation.

Mike Nelson's Mind Over Matters
It's very wry humor on various and sundry aspects of life. I think I still prefer Movie Megacheese, though, as far as amount-of-laughs go. I also ordered Death Rat!: A Novel, so that's next.

Right now, I'm reading a book called "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
It's about a Freshman and the obstacles he overcomes, friends he makes, and memories he creates that honestly, I can pretty much relate to in more than one way.
I /highly/ recommend it.

Double post, but I finished reading Picoverse, which was an excellent book.
Don't want to give too much away, but in the book there is another universe that gets created where the Soviet Union under Stalin takes over most of the world. Alternate realities are always interesting as far as I am concerned. Nikola Tesla is also a more prominent figure in the alternate universe, which is pretty damn cool.
Just started reading The Cat Who Walks Through Walls by Robert A. Heinlein.

That's my favorite book.
I found The Hunger Games in a parking lot a few weeks ago and decided I might as well read it. Almost done with it, haven't seen the movie. It's alright.

Finally read that one and really enjoyed it. Mike's type of humor is an odd fit in a novel-length narrative, but the crazy characters help sell it; like the Governor (a Jesse Ventura-type) who wears Zubaz, yells at people on TV as if they can hear him, and owns a football-phone; or the Prince-esque 'King Leo' who wants to hold a concert revival for the "Funka-Lovely-Creative-Spirit-Being, the Rodent of Dee-vine Power"; or the aquavit-drinking, Volvo-driving Danish antagonists.
Good stuff.

I kind of want to re-read this as I think some things were a little over my head when I read it when I was 13-14. Very interesting book.

Picked up a few William Gibson books: Count Zero, Mona Lisa Overdrive and Pattern Recognition.
I'm about a third of the way through Count Zero and I'm liking it so far.
Also rereading Frankenstein and Dracula because I found a couple hardcover editions for cheap.

The Baroque Cycle is great. I recently started reading Anathem another novel by Neal Stephenson. Good stuff so far.
