Which one and why?
If you are unfamiliar with Lloyd Kaufman, you are disqualified from answering.

Charlie.
His stuff is quirky and brilliant, and writes the kind of make-you-think movies that I don't mind watching multiple times. Being John Malkovich was hilarious, Adaptation was genius, and Eternal Sunshine left me speechless. I have yet to see Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, but it's on my list. And wasn't he the guy who sent other people to media interviews, pretending to be him? Inspired.
Troma movies just make me want to shower for days.

I reserve the right to answer until after I have completed an article I am working on.

While I absolutely hated Eternal Sunshine, a quick IMDB search shows that Charlie Kaufman was apparently a writer on both the Dana Carvey Show and Get a Life (Featuring Chris Elliot). How can you say no to that?

And Adaptation and Being John Malkovich, both of which you like.
But Lloyd Kaufman built Troma studios from the ground up, and it is the largest truly independent film company. Lloyd has written/directed/produced some truly awful movies, but he's also given us some B-classics such as The Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke 'Em High, and Terror Firmer. Cannibal! The Musical was also released through Troma.

Also true. I suppose it depends on what you're asking. "Who do you respect more?" or "Whose work do you enjoy more?". I was answering the latter.

Lloyd Kaufman is better. And I have three very convincing words to prove it.
Beat The Geeks.
The best gameshow ever featured a death scene in a Troma film as a prize if you beat the Movie Geek.
