I saw this game at a bowling alley once, and didnt see it again until the power of emulators. And I have a habit of developing an affection for arcade games that managed to dissappear from my sight. Its also a capcom game, and a fantasy platformer. Which helps a lot.

And I know syd is aware of it. So my question is, will you ever do a review of it?

I'd like to, eventually. It's kind of a hard game to review though. I like to do rather complete reviews of games and there's different paths you can take, so it's hard to figure out exactly how to go about doing it. But the game is damn fun.

Well, I guess you would rate heroes and vilians, and kinds of levels? Rating all 50 levels would not be productive, most involve kill monsters, find key, leave.

Be easier then rating kid chameleon though. (BTW, if youve never played, dont play it. It pains me that I got to the last level and could not manage to beat it. I read a review of it later to find out the "Reward" and its almost embittered me, which usually takes an entire lifetime wasted.)

Kid Chameleon was a fairly cool game, I thought. I never beat it, but I seem to recall it being a pretty big deal when it came out.

If the game itself wasnt as difficult and excessively overstayed on its own, the final marathon (the name of the last level) simply lingered like a bad flu. And its not like you could skip to the level right after you beat a boss, you started the whole thing over again if you stopped.

Magic sword had all sorts of classic fantasy goodness. Doors to be unlocked, iconic fantasy foes like orcs, chimera, and skeletons to be defeated, allies to be made (to be fair, everyone always went after the knight), and other such things.

Well, to kid chameleons credit, the enemies and environments were varied and challenging. And the flying helmet felt cool.
