I got the idea to start this thread from last night. Now, this may seem odd for a video game feat, but trust me, it's something that has never happened to me before.
So I'm playing Secret of Mana last night for many an hour, getting my characters leveled up for any boss battles to come ahead. I was at the underground palace by the way, working to seal the seed and stop the lava flow. Anyway, I decided to throw on some metal music from my CD player(I know, I know, I don't have an mp3 or ipod yet, just shut up please). After everyone made it to lv 15, I ventured on for the boss, and eventually reached him: the Fire Gigas, basically an over sized duergar with a lust for throwing fire everywhere. As the battle started, I decided to pump myself up by throwing on some Metallica. The choice song: the live-in-concert accompanied-by-orchestra version of Puppet Master. Freaking awesome song, listen to it.
Amazingly enough, the song was virtually at the end of one playthrough by the time I beat the boss! That's right, I somehow managed to sync the boss fight length with the song length WITHOUT EVEN MEANING TO! It was almost nine minutes. I'm telling you guys, you don't make this shit up!
Well, that's my feat anyway. Like I said, not that much to do with the game itself, but I thought it was worth mentioning. How about you guys? Did you get through a dungeon without getting hit once? Run through a fighting game without a loss on a high difficulty? Did someone actually beat Ghosts 'n' Goblins? TWICE? Anything at all like that, list it here! By the way, they don't have to involve listening to music while playing.
Also, off topic, does anyone know a good SNES emulator that records gameplay as well as play games? ZSNES doesn't seem to record.
