I dunno how many of you are familiar with starcraft, but I got bored after finishing brood war, so I decided to challenge myself. I just beat 3 Protoss tribes, on Melee, in the Blood Bath map.

All i remember from star craft is the mission where you use the humans ad you have like just a few soldier dudes and your infiltrating or rescuing someone. seems vague but it was bad ass.

I just got the "Warm Coffee" acheivement on GTA IV. I thought that was pretty funny.

W00T, i just have to say that terminal velocity in portal is by far the easiest achievement to get outside of playing the game from start to finish. Long Jump on the other hand is a bitch, i've made several attempts and still experience fail face.

And i really like to play GTA4 but I'm already into so much half-life i'll be busy for a week or two.

I've done it, but it's been awhile. Most of the bossess have suprisingly easy patterns, so it's not that hard once you have it memorized. My biggest problem was always that one level where you have to dodge the fire and claws.

my best achievement is beating super metroid in about 1 hour 30 minutes while finding about 90% of all items.. its not that great but it was for me at the time. i pulled an all nighter and kept doing it over and over until i got way under 2 hours.

i also did a 100% link to the past without 0 deaths. that was pretty frustrating for me. but i havnt done much in terms of achievements other than that.

Discovering random select for both Mega Man 3 and Whomp'Em by accident.

And a near achievement for doing a no-save run of Resident Evil 4. I made it all the way to the last laser chamber sequence before Sadler's throne room. Krauser's knife QTEs didn't kill me but the lasers did, ugh. 6 hours and some odd many minutes down the drain.

Mine:

Super Mario Bros. 3 without being touched once through each and every level.

Metal Gear Solid 1-3, The best ranks on Extreme difficulty with no kills (original MGS had some forced kills), no alerts (original MGS had few forced Alerts), no rations and shit, no continues, single sit through and in around 2 hours in all of them.

Contra without being touched once.

Soul Blade(/Soul Edge) & Soul Calibur 2; beating Weapon/Edge Master with everyone thus getting all the weapons to everyone.

Time Crisis in 11'31"57 with 10 skill points.

Advance Wars, beating the Advance Campaign (the bastards cheat in FOW and Sturm in the end...)

While playing with a friend, we nearly FAILED to beat the game WITH the Konami code, because he sucked so bad, and used up all his lives and mine.

Holy crap. That's 90 lives apiece. Actually it's more, since you'll earn a few extra lives.

I know, it's pretty hard NOT to beat it with two players and the code. And honestly, it wasn't because of me. I probably died about 10-15 times. He died the other 45 +

It's not a really an achievement, but as a kid I played through Kirby's Adventure using only the sword (as far as that was possible), because it was my favorite weapon. Sometimes playing games with self-imposed rules is much more fun.

i've beat the zelda games w/only three hearts. except for the original zelda + zelda II on the NES. the game boy + SNES + N64 ones i have beat w/only 3 hearts. i havent tried it w/wind waker yet and i still havent had a chance to play twilight princess. man im lagging on twilight princess.

Baldur's Gate 2 + ToB with a single character, including Firkraag and the Demogorgon (and all the other Dragons, liches, and other tough motherfuckers in that game).

Did it all with a single-classed warrior, tough as fuck but doable.

Aren't you trapped in a dungeon boss room until you pick up the full heart container in Link To The Past? Cos I've tried waiting for the pendant/ crystal to come down without picking it up and it never happens.

Earning the hand cannon in Resident Evil 4 was a bitch and so not worth it. The Chicago Typewriter was more fun to use.

Fuckin' A. The "ideal" of earning the handcannon, the proverbial carrot on a stick that it represented as the goal of your hard fought battles was more fun than getting the thing itself.
