Do you guys have your Wiis connected to the internet? Maybe you need a system update...

I do, and I have read that sending it into Nintendo for repairs is the only guaranteed solution. I read people in the same situation as me (Brawl starts out working fine but eventually starts getting harder and harder to start to the point where it stops working all together) having it get fixed by Nintendo. Now I would have already taken care of this problem, but my warranty has expired and this fix will now cost money. Money I do not presently have to spend. My Wii can play all other games I have perfectly, so I will have to deal without playing Brawl until I have the extra spending money.

I always hated holding the remote sideways. The uneven profile makes it awkward after only five minutes. I don't understand how anyone rationalized it as similar to a NES controller. NES controllers didn't have a battery pack throwing the weight and shape balance completely off and pea-sized buttons. If someone would release a third-party remote that's actually shaped like an NES controller for the sole purpose of sideways handling (with an internal battery), I would get that in a second. Maybe it could be shaped like the late-model SNES-style one so that the A and B buttons could be next to 1 and 2.

Sigh...I wish Nintendo (or TN) would let this motion control lay low when it comes to their major titles.

Brawl is the best-selling title on the Wii and its motion control is both minimal and optional.

I'm not a bad enough dude, but I am an edgy little shit. I'll do what I can.

I believe you can buy nes or snes controllers with gamecube plugs.

I've got one of these http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/acc/cleaningKit.jsp . After using it, I've had no more DREs while playing MadWorld, RE: Darkside Chronicles, Brawl, or Super Mario Galaxy 2.
