they didnt sell out in japan, they sold better for one week vs the PS3.

oh sorry, im just repeating what i heard on hard news, they are usually right. But anyway I think they got a good two years of coasting till the next one comes out.

I might have to grab an 80GB PS3, since I think they're going down in price and all of my PS2 games work perfectly under the software backwards compatibility.

Uh, actually, PS3 is currently getting its ass raped.

The overall units sold for each system:

Wii - 29.62 million
360 - 19 million
PS3 - 14.41 million

The Wii and PS3 numbers extend through June 2008, the 360 sales number is through April 2008.

It's true that PS3's sales have increased significantly in recent months. But they have a long, long way to go before they're "pwning" anyone.

PS3's sales are mostly contributed to being a cheaper Blu-Ray Player anyway, that and MGS4 but it's stupid to buy a system for only one game.
