Over on the imdb boards there are a bunch of threads(all started by like the same two people)claiming fowl on the movie for "so called" black face. Sound off on this do you think there will be a backlash over this movie and if so is it deserved?

Thirded. But I do feel kinda guilty for thinking RDJ looks absolutely hilarious.
I watched the trailer and I have to say I'm seriously appalled by this. What the hell were they thinking? Jack Black's character is such a poorly disguised crack at Chris Farley. I'm disgusted.

I laughed when I saw the preview the other day, and I'm a Stiller family fan (as well as a Jack Black fan). I'll see it.
first time i saw the trailer and heard that RBJ was gonna be the black guy in the movie, i was rolling. i cant wait for this movie, but im afraid ill be disappointed

I saw a sneak premier of it. I loved it.
The weakest actor in it was Ben Stiller.
Also Tom Cruise might have made up for his complete suckiness over the last few years with his roll in this movie.
My wife did not enjoy it too much, but that should mean you will all like it more.

The ironic since Ben Stiller produced, directed, wrote teh screenplay and script, and acted in it. I guess his mind was in other places
This time, I can cut him some slack, he was everywhere behind the scenes and in the movie.
Robert Downey Jr. is awesome.
Jack Black was.... Jack Black(does he even play anybody else?)
the idea of having jack black's character being a white eddie murphy was great.
RDJ stole the show though.

Same here. I bursted out laughing in the audience during that part when he's talking about crawfish and starts annoying the actual black guy. Seriously, RDJ actually seemed black at certain parts!
I also enjoyed the fake trailers in the beginning.

I loved the scene when RDJ tried to explain to ben stiller about only acting partially retarded to get nominations so that the audience could still relate to him.
I've been wearing a name badge that says "Kirk Lazarus" at work since I saw the movie.

Me too. I was going to go to the concession stands after the movie and request some Booty Sweat just to see if it was real. Then the other trailers came on, and I figured it out.
Overall, I thought it was a pretty funny movie. Not as good as Pineapple Express, but still good. My respect for Tom Cruise has increased tenfold because of his role (I didn't even figure out it was him until I saw the credits.) RDJ was probably the best out of the main cast, with Stiller being the least funny. Go figure.

The movie had some funny moments, but I really didn't care for it. Downey was great and it was nice that Jack Black was more of a secondary character. I couldn't watch it again though; there's just nothing worth rewatching for me.
