mjl1783 I understand that you work in a hospital, and you know drug reps, which I call show ponies cause they don't really have to sell much anymore. Besides that though, you missed my entire point. I am not saying we do not need the FDA, I am saying that we need a better one. There are things that go on that are terrible. Think about it, if they actually would let certain medicines go through, or make sure that research they or the NIH funds actually finds a cure, they would be out of a job, well not all of them but it would mean less funding the more medicines and cures go through. I know doctors are at hosptials, in pharma, in academia etc. I also know nurses, PharmD's, various therapists etc. And I get the regulation, but what it is, and how they use it, the FDA that is, is usually a political mess. Why are there drugs that make it through and then they find out that they kill, while others that don't do not make it through? Too blame it all on Big Pharma is a mistake, though they bear alot of blame as well, and to say that I am against having and FDA misses the point as well. I think the entire system, from industry to government, to insurance, and it all is pretty fucked these days, and has been for a long time.
