when my neck was acting up, what help was falling alseep in a really comfortable chair in front of the tv. I'm serious, the damn stiff pain bothered me until I could get it to buddist monk relaxation. I'm not sure it will help your back but maybe it will. hope you get better.

sleep on the floor or a hard surface for a couple nights in a row. it'll be a bitch at first but then it'll start helping out.

my back always fucking hurts, like lower in the lumbar area, for a while now. I have to have a pillow behind my back in my truck and shit, it sucks. I have been meaning to see a doctor now, but am just too lazy. I suggest heavy painkillers

Medication can help a lot, but I would NOT do that first! If I were the OP, I would look for the nearest chiropractor in my area to see if he/she could help my back. I've done much business with chiropractors, and I am satisfied because they can do wonders.
Just my advice, dude!

Does this really work?? Like literally right on the floor? Or should I put a blanket down first? Or what? It sounds like a pretty miserable experience nonetheless.

of course you put a blanket down and a pillow. but if you sleep on a hard flat surface, it should help a bit (it helps me when my back is fucked up)
or just go to the chiropractor
