If you're looking for something a little different, I would suggest Indigo Prophecy for Xbox. I've never heard anyone else talk about it, but it's a pretty interesting game. It's hard to compare it anything else, but it plays out like a choose your own adventure movie with action/mystery/survival horror elements. You play both sides of the law, controlling a killer possessed by supernatural powers and the detectives who are trying to solve the case. I don't feel like elaborating so here's a link to the ign review:

I fucked that game up, he kept jumping out of his window when he got too depressed. TIP do not keep making him drink the liquor in the cabinet. Oh and his girlfriend is a bitch, if you do not play the song perfectly she leaves, but if you nail it she stays and you nail her.

The first time I was in his apartment I tried taking painkillers after having just 1 drink. I thought it would make for a good time, but he just curled up and died like a pussy.

It's hard to find, but if you happen to see Assault Rigs for PS1 you should check it out. It's essentially BattleZone on steroids, you fight other tanks like in BattleZone and also have to navigate obstacle coarses during the later areas. Plus it has ALOT of levels, and it's fun to replay as well.

Also the controls and graphics are sub par, great concept, shittastic execution imo.

People still don't believe me when I tell them there was an SMS version, they think it couldn't be done. The music in Jungle and Sky zone were awesome.
