I saw the season 1 DVD at Target the other day and was a bit surprised. Isn't that one of those shows we've been waiting for on DVD for practically ever?

Yep, bought it the day after it came out. Though the "Season 1" thing is laughable -- it's 14 out of 24 episodes. They're really milking it.

Knew it was too good to be true, they'll probably take a year to make a "Season 1.5" DVD.

And episode 6 (The Cloud / Candle Jack) of those 14 is just a repeat.

so, the series only lasted 24 episodes and two of the episodes are repeats?!?

It's not exactly like that. "Candle Jack" is a segment in episode 2 as well as 6 and "The Cloud" story is in episode 6 and 11. So episode 6 is basically redundant. AFAIK the reason it is included anyway is because that's the way the show originally aired.
