Castelvania 4 is a damn good game for the SNES. I am just pissed that I missed it when it came out because my local video store never had it.
I would say its probably behind Symphony of the Night in terms of being the best Castlevania

castlevania is such a good series it's hard to pin a 'best' on any of them.

My favorite Castlevania is Harmony of Dissonance. It's hard to explain why, I just...like it. Maybe because it has (arguably) the most powerful Belmont as the main character.

I'm very fond of the games involving Soma Cruz. III and IV are also very good. As is SotN.

Well I finally bought this on the VC yesterday. Aside from the graphics and the slightly smoother controls, don't notice that much of a difference. Pretty good.
But the best thing about this game is easily the fact that you can make the whip go limp and just flail it around.
There are a lot of what if's in life Donny. What if I hit you really hard in the face, knocked yo shit to the back of yo skull? What if I....had you girl gargle my nuts? The fact remains, you are a fuckin mutant.
