Hey, that was a lot of porn for back in the day. You could fit all those on a single floppy disc, which you could easily hide from your parents by labeling it "Data Disk #22" and sticking it in the back of the disk case.

I used to do some ASCII Art, but I was never especially good at it. I certainly couldn't have done something like the Star Wars ASCII movie.

There are applications that do this for you.

Put the Contra Code into the Sydapedia and you'll see an example.

I'll dig up the small app I have and try to post a link to it next week. It was freeware.

Computer-generated ASCII Art is interesting from a technical standpoint, but you can usually tell the difference and it's just not as cool as when it's done by hand. Part of the reason that Star Wars Asciimation is so entertaining is because it's so old school. There are computer-generated ASCII versions of other movies that look much better than the Star Wars one, like The Matrix ASCII or The Incredibles ASCII, but they're not nearly as charming.
