Phase 1: When the first few batches of original shows - Dexter's Lab, PPG, Johnny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, et al, left the channel's original rotation.

Phase 2: When ATHF became on the only surviving show from the original Adult Swim line-up.

My dad was flipping channels and we saw a LIVE-ACTION television show...on Cartoon Network! Whenever that happened, I think that's when CN started to suck.

Seconded on Phase 1. Every show except Cow and Chicken was classic.

Omelette du Fromage is still stuck in my head, 10 years from now.

I watched Dexter, PPG, and all the other mentioned religiously. Also, does nobody remember 2 Stupid Dogs?

When they started playing more kids cartoons then more action things
When they started making shows like Ed, Edd, and Eddy suck
When they stopped showing Samurai Jack on a regular basis
When they started making shows like Chowder
When they started to show live action movies, I can give Who framed Roger Rabbit a pass since it is humans and cartoons, but Honey I shrunk the Kids, what the hell is that

wasn't their a movie similar to Groundhogs day only a kid goes back in time once and trys to change things for the better. It came off retarded for even kid's under the age of 6.

"oh no it's the end of summer . . ." that is why i hated pre-movie advertisements of things other then new movies coming out.

Cow and Chicken was amazing. There were so many subtle things and double inuendos that made that not a kids show.

Cow and Chicken was great
Chowder is pretty funny
and live action "Tim and Eric's Awesome Show, Great Job" is well, awesome

It's definately not the best it's ever been, but there are some redeeming shows still worth watching.

Dances with Wolves 2 is gonna ROCK!

I think it's safe to say Adult Swim doesn't count in this because most of it is alright. Though some of the Sunday Comedy stuff is dreck IMO like Tim & Eric, 12 oz Mouse, Assy McGee, etc.

I'm not sure. Maybe it's like Optimist With Doubts said, when the folks there started showing shows that aren't cartoons.

Reanimated and Out of Jimmy's Head I could forgive because they're Animated/Live Action shows, but they are also showing stuff that has no animation in it at all. Confused

i'm probably the only one here that likes ben 10 but i felt horribly betrayed when cartoon network made Toonami saturday only and got rid of stuff like batman. it used to be "the finest anime and action cartoons" now it's just "some cartoons that are kind of violent"

Toonami used to be the shit, my favorite line-up ever that they had was Transformers: Armada, Dragonball, DBZ, and Samurai Jack . I don't remember the order, but I know those four were among it. Now the only thing I watch(Or did watch) on there was One Piece and DBZ Uncut.

I never cared for cartoon network. Space Ghost was ok, though. Oh, and that's where I first saw Trigun.
