UPDATE: (I hope this isnt too much text)
M3GA MAN and I manage to play several games using VirtuaNes's Netplay function. But Unfortunately the games suffered from lag, though games like Super Mario Brothers 3 are alright which this type of lag. In fact it added a whole new dimension of gameplay where every life and coin really counts because its not as easy as playing normally. We decided to play through the whole game and we are up to world 4. I like how you can save your state in the netplay and come back to it next time you play online. I think it lags in my games because of my weak wireless range to the internet and the fact that i've been playing people from USA from Australia.
We played through contra using the konami code and managed to beat it (Even when all my lifes were stolen,

). Other games included bubble bobble, chessmaster, dr mario, super mario brothers, battletoads (One of my favorite online nes games so far, its so hilarious) and TMNT 2.
Anyway, just thought I should tell you guys that online nes is fun and if you like nes games and multiplayer then you should find people on this topic to play with.
Maybe we should set an informational card that sits in your signiture or lives in this topic that describes what emulator you're using, what games you want to play and what time you usually play. So people can private message you or post in the topic to organise a time to play. I highly recommend an instant messenging system to communicate to people you play with because you can see when they are online, you can still talk when the emulator crashes, you can trade ip address there, etc.
Heres an example/template of a card that someone might have which people would use to see if they were compatible time wise and game wise.
(NOTE: none of these details are true)

If any one can think of something better, by all means post the suggestion.
If the idea goes down then a section in the first post will be opened up for these "cards" so people can organise people. The only down side is that if you want to change it on the topic you would have to tell me, so if you are a serious online nes player then maybe it is worth while putting it in your signiture.
Wow, this is the longest post i've ever written...
