You guys know what I mean. The guy that's awesome in college and everybody thinks will help lead their NFL team to the Super Bowl, but the guy never cracks a starting lineup for more than a game or two.
I don't actually have any in mind, because I don't follow NFL enough to know. But I'm still interested, and I think it'll be an interesting topic. If not, feel free to burn me at the stake

Alex Smith (SAN FRANCISCO) - Not quite a bust yet, but will be if he doesn't get his act together)
Cedric Benson (CHICAGO) - Up in smoke

These are good ones guys. Detroit seems to have a knack for picking these guys.

Hey Douche, do you remember this?
"I'm Charles Rogers. Sixty-eight receptions, thirteen touchdowns."
But I agree with your entire list. Especially Desmond Howard. Obviously Ryan Leaf is the first person anyone thinks of when this topic comes up. A couple more of the obvious names would be Brian Bosworth and Lawrence Phillips.
A bunch of Heisman trophy winners have failed to have success after college.
Danny Wuerffel, Jason White, Chris Weinke, Ron Dayne, Rashaan Salaam, Gino Torretta, Ty Detmer, Eric Crouch,
A few more stud college QBs that didn't pan out. Quincy Carter, Tim Couch, Akili Smith, Cade McNown, Shaun King, Michael Bishop, Heath Shuler, Rick Mirer.
I think the biggest draft day fuck up was probably the Chiefs taking Todd Blackledge in the '83 draft ahead of both Jim Kelly and Dan Marino.

Ken Dorsey, FTW.
He QB'ed an unstoppable Miami team but has been an epic failure in the NFL.

co-sign. This is the most unimpressive starting QB in the league right now and easily the worst #1 pick of this decade.
Matt Jones, he was such a beast at Arkansas, one of the best raw athletes I had ever seen. Even though he ended up playing a different position in the pros, I expected much more out of him. I keep waiting for his breakout year, but it never happens. To top it off, he was just arrested on felony drug charges (6 grams of cocaine I think) a few days ago. Too bad.

He was alright in the '06 season, but Norv Turner was his OC. Smith started out the season pretty well, but was iffy during the 2nd half.
Another bust? How about J.J. Stokes? The so-called next Jerry Rice didn't last very long.

You can't put Howard in there! The guy was a Superbowl MVP!

I love the clip of Howard doing the Heisman pose. One of the great moments in college highlights.
I have to agree with Syd on Dorsey. Being a huge Miami fan, I loved Ken Dorsey. I intentionally didn't mention him earlier. But in all honesty, I never really expected much from him in the NFL. He was great in college (though he was also on a stacked team), but like most great college QBs, it didn't translate to the NFL.

Virginia Tech QB Jim Druckenmiller. He was supposed to be the heir to Steve Young, but only played two games in San Francisco.

There was a guy from my own town Thad Busby who had a pretty impressive time at FSU though he never made it past the 49ers training camp.

He also didn't play the position he was drafted for. Thinking your getting a threat WR and getting a special teams player makes it a bust in my book. Especially for the Jaguars. He didn't live up to his hype except for the Super Bowl with Green Bay. Hell he played for Detroit, so he gets automatic bust status regardless of when he joined the team.

Todd Marinovich. Maybe if his dad let him have a normal childhood or at least smoke pot once in a while, he wouldn't have been the huge addict he is now.
Rob Gallery is another one up there. Dude was the 2nd overall pick and looked to be a BEAST O Lineman and just...sucked. Hard.

Why thank you. Yeah, and I seem to see the Gholston being a big bust too. That's why I hate when the Jets have a high pick, they usually never do good with it; they do better with mid-to late first rounders.

I'm not in a position to say for sure, but I believe nudity is OK, but sex isn't. so boobs=cool but "smoking two poles"=banned.
EDIT: keeping on topic, whatever happened to Charlie Ward? Basketball?
