In my search for a suitable port of Duke Nukem3d I stubled across ports of Rise Of The Triad which looks kinda cool. Anyone ever play it back in the day and is it worth the time to download?

WOW, that brings me back. I used to play it all the time when I was younger and was obsessed with Wold3d, Doom, Duke3d, etc. It's definitely worth a download, I got a lot of fun out of it.

I used to play that. It was ok. I would definitely rank Doom & Duke as better games, but it was a good game.
Worth it if you never played it and it is free.

It was pretty cool for its time. It was the first FPS I remember where you could dual wield pistols so that was exciting.

That's because most American cartoonist are going to Japan to draw Hentai. |

It had its moments... I plan to review it sooner or later. But first I'm going to review a much more obscure FPS.

I actually still got a copy of that game, I lucked out and found it at a garage sale about 4 years ago in perfect condition with the full sized box, inserts and all. I had to but it just because I was so shocked to see a game that old sitting out at a garage sale looking like it just came off of the store shelf.

ROTT was fuckin' awesome.
I liked playing as Ian Paul Freely, because it was an elaborate pee joke.
