Is it better than Melee, and why?

I never played Melee.
To be honest I thought it was a lame concept. Then when Brawl came there was so much hype along with it that it was impossible to ignore. I happened to be in a Costco the day it was released and it was only $44.
I have been happy with it, but my friends all call it the game that requires ADD. None of them can keep up with the amount of crap on the screen at any given time.

My friends are the exact same way. I only have one other friend who's really into brawl. The rest always want to play Mario Kart instead.

Unfortunately that type of reaction usually makes them less likely to continue playing games with me.
I think SSBB is great, I'm just not sure how to introduce it to people who may not normally be considered gamers without them saying they hate it as a first reaction.

Depends on what you're going for. Melee is a game that you have to get good at, Brawl is a game that even newbies can win at (sometimes).

I have played neither.
Because every gaming site I go to, they say that the game is impossible to control with the Wiimote. Seeing as I don't have a Gamecube controller...
That's the reason why I don't play Melee either.

This is absolute bullshit.
You can custom configure the controller to work however you want.
I use the Wiimote + Nunchuck and it is great.

I think playing brawl with the wiimote and chuck is pretty damn akward. You can find a wired gamecube controller for < $10 on ebay. Then again, if you've never used the gamecube controller, it may be easier to get used to playing with the wiimote.

I am not really keen on using eBay. Shipping to Poland may be expensive, and I don't want to pay more for it than I paid for the item itself.
And GC controllers are hella hard to get in Poland. Unless I'd buy an used GC or something.

No, ssdd is same shit different day. After playing I decided it was pretty much the same damn game (not to say it's not fun and awesome) just spiffied up for the next gen system.

There isn't a huge difference between Melee and Brawl.
No Roy though, and damn Fuuin No Tsurgi was a kick ass game even if it was only released in Japan.
I'm just saying Brawl should of kept Roy.

Brawl, at least for me the man who doesnt like Wii much, seems like that "WACKY WILD INFLATABLE TUBE MAN" sales commercial on family guy.
Its like everyone knows every single button and power up and im just sitting here chillin out while everyone takes out their super happy item brawl ball and unleashes their super mega awesome attack on my loser character.
Fuck that, Im playing GTA.
