Not at all. I loved their first three albums. And Justice for All was okay, the Black Album was quite decent, but then it all went downhill for them afterwards. Metallica is a very talented band with much potential, but their latest musical efforts are disappointing. They're sellouts, plain and simple. Sure, Aerosmith may be considered sellouts as well for being in the new GH game and being in that old rail shooter Revolution X, but at least they retained their musical credibility. |

I also thought S&M was pretty cool, but I'm just talking about original studio recordings. I enjoyed Garage Inc. as well, but I didn't include that because it's a cover album.

That having been said, as my avatar shows, I am a huge Metallica fan, and I'd pick up Guitar Hero: Metallica provided most of the songs were from Cliff-era. (hopefully all, but that's not gonna happen).

Also, if they're going to do what Aerosmith did and put in tracks from similar bands, I demand Exodus and Megadeth. Or, if they're going for influences, Diamond Head. That'd be so awesome....But unlikely. Sigh...

I largely agree with you, but must say Justice sucked due to lack of bass and because of Lars' drum sound. God I hate Lars.

Watch the movie "Some Kind of Monster" its the making of the craptastic album St. Anger, and it is Some kind of pile of shit. THe funniest part is when they sit around in therapy and cry with Dave Mustaine.

Me personally...I'd like to see a strictly heavy metal version of the game...I mean...going from "Raining Blood", to "Black Magic Woman"...that's weak...and they DEF need Sonata Arctica in there somewhere in there. But for the love sweet baby backs rib...no more weenier bands like Weezer.

While i disagree that having a variety of music is weak, I will agree that an all metal version, or maybe a giant XBL dl of metal songs would be nice. It's obviously not that difficult to produce the tracks considering how fast they pump these things out. I dream of it even breaking down to like speed, death grind and whatnot kind of metal packs for DL.

I kinda got pissed off by GH3's lack of diversity. For example, GH2's top 8 track list had one psychobilly, one hardcore punk, one thrash, one metal, and one southern rock song each. On top of that, only one of them was a real hit in the US (Freebird, Institutionalized is still kind of below the radar for most of the world). GH3's last tier had four metal songs and one jazz/blues-rock song. I read the new track list for GH4, and they had one punk song, by Blink 182. I know that's personal tastes, but if you're going to represent the genre with one band, at least pick someone more talented, like The Minutemen, Husker Du, or something Jesse Michaels was in, for a few examples.

I heard that they made a Hannah Montana rip-off of the series. It only had three fret buttons and it was basically like you were just playing rhythm-guitar.
