GOD your life is over now! It was like crack to me but I got out of it. There's like 75 new editions out. Are you just starting?

Really, I'm trying to get addicted, but I can't find the right MMO for me. WoW got boring by level 10, and Everquest sucks big hairy balls. For some reason my Warrior has 0 accuracy and misses the enemy every turn.

I stopped paying for it and Square sent me a letter in the mail saying if I don't pay they WILL effect my credit score. You could always ask some one for some gil. I got back into on the 360 and then shouted for some help and some guy gave me 100,000 I was like are you fucking kidding me, he's like no just help someone else. Of course I lied and said I would. God I'm glad I don't have internet at home, this thread would make me get back into it.

The trick to a true mental addiction is bridging the gap between the mental and physical.
Force your body to physically need the game and you will find that addiction has been achieved. How can you do this? You need to find a game that offers an adrenaline rush. Then you need to abuse that feeling until you require it.
A mental addiction that is fueled by adrenaline is actually similar to a heroin addiction. You are forcing your opioid system to work and then you are good to go.
You should know, that like all opioid addictions, you will have a huge curve as far as effectiveness over time. Also with drawl will be more painful the longer you keep it up.
Enjoy your new found fix... when you find it.

Yeah, but then you couldn't buy new weapons and kill people with them.

Which is why I never got a second job, I needed my Wasp Knife +1, and my complete Beetle Equipment.

When I played, there were way too many pricks. This was back when the PS2 hard drive first came out. It may not be like that anymore. I was gonna try it again, but my sister-in-law got me to play WoW. I thought the people for the most part were a lot better. But WoW people on message boards were assholes. I was on gamefaqs asking some noob questions, which were valid questions, and I was met with several insults. Everybody was the new guy at one point, but by the way they were talking to me, you would have thought they started out on level 70. Fuck those people.
I did alright in groups. But the thing is, I only liked grouping with people who were in it for fun. A lot of the people take that shit way too seriously. And though I never did, several times I felt like botching the mission. What pissed me off the most is when somebody would fuck up and then blame everybody else. But it was ten times worse when I was playing FFXI. At least when playing WoW, and you get tired of grouping, its easy to solo and still be productive. In FFXI, once you hit a certain level, anything solo is way too slow. Any solo leveling seemed impossible.

I played this game for 3 years almost. I may still have my character, but I've been off it since like last september. It was pretty fun and addicting. It got really shitty at the "end game" type stuff. Like waiting 2 hours for everyone to show up for dynamis... Then dynamis took 4 fucking hours, for usually shit. Grr... It was fun, hell even thought about checking it out again, but I dunno, MMO's are weird because there is no ending.. no goal.. just e-bragging rights.
AFTERTHOUGHT: Oh yeah, and you will bust your ass to get this sweet ass piece of equipment, only for them to do an update or make a new expansion where cheap easy to obtain armor blows, your shit that you worked so hard for, away.

Wow, I always thought no one played FF XI for some reason. Maybe I should give it a shot.
