Here's the thread where we can post our realm and character names. I'm currently installing and about to make my first character in god knows how long.

Update:

Apparently I have characters on US East, so, we're gonna play on there. Cool. I have a necro and an assassin at higher-ish levels. I'll start new characters with anyone who wants to play though.

I do not own, and have never played this game before.

Is it worth my money to buy it now?

I've never owned or played this game either.

It's taken some friends of mine though, lost in computer land playing this game or hours and hours and taking it way too seriously.

Why don't you mail it back to Blizzard and see if they'll give you the new one free? Very Happy

Diablo II is well worth it, but don't pay $40 bucks for it. Do some searching, you can probably find both the game and expansion for $10 apiece without much trouble.

I would love to play DII online, but I really just don't have the time for it.

I loved the original and played the ever loving shit out of it. But, by the time Diablo 2 came out, I was burned out on Diablo, and 2 was just more of same, with a few added features. I expect three to be more of the same, just shinyer.

Like Knyte, I played Diablo1 a ton, but for some reason never got around to playing D2. Probably because I was never a PC gamer....the only PC games I ever had were Diablo1 and Warcraft II.

I picture that they will take what they have learned from WoW and apply it to Diablo III.

I just hope they are able to separate the two.

Oh no, I'm not getting into this again! Whenever I decide I might want to play D2 again, I fire it up, make characters and then run around by myself the whole time scavenging useless equipment because everybody on there is a greedy bastard and they scramble to grab every drop the second it hits the ground.

I've just got vanilla Diablo 2, and I've never gotten past the second act. Sorta lost interest because I was playing Dungeon Siege 2 at the time and I liked that game a little better.

I recently started playing it again with a friend of mine, but BattleNet was so confusing to get around that we just started up Hamachi and did a standard TCP/IP game instead. Works just fine, albeit sort of laggy.

My Sydapedia page lists my game collection and friend codes, if you're interested.

I would post my character name, except I play on Europe, since US players are all assholes and always want to duel. At least the ones that come to the Europe realm.

You should totally check out the IRC channel.
While you're at it, go check out my band, Her Majesty's Heroines.

Pretty much. It's a pretty cutthroat event when a boss dies.

Great. Rolling Eyes I got bored with WOW even faster than Diablo. I played Diablo for about 6 months. I played WOW for only 3 days. (Out of a 10 day trial.)

I played WoW for about 5 minutes.
I killed 4 boars, with these retarded controls and said "Fuck this"

I play D2 in the USEast with the account Laminated_Sky (go figure)

Hopefully D3 won't be like WoW and have the same controls.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.
