I know this topic is both neither here nor there, and here and there, but at the moment I think it lands in the video game forum(I found it Syd! ).
Personally, I'd love to see a Ninja Gaiden movie. The original NES game and the Dark Sword of Chaos. If I could write a screen play I'd write it myself. The game is already set up in a movie sequence, or at least a very long play, with Acts.
The first one would probably be a great platform with it's story of family, avenging your father, the mythology of the statues, Jaquio, and it's twists and turns throughout the game. I think it'd be an awesome movie personally.
The Dark Sword of Chaos is Ninja Gaiden's special effect filled, wild plot sequel. Ghost ninjas, returning boss figures now as foot soldiers, and of course, the ending sequence is filled with NES type special effects that would work really well. I always loved the part where Robert shoots Ashtar and it simply bounces off his back.
The game is filled with drama, plot twists, and a story line worth following. Though Ninja Gaiden 2 may lose a few people, anyone who played the game will know where all their crazy stuff came from.
...also, the movie will have to answer things like how Ryu goes from a train and in it's door is a windy mountain side that can blow him down the mountain.
I always thought Killer7 would make an amazing movie. I know I would go see it.

I always think about this. The problem is sooo many videogames turned film come out so poorly that it could potentially ruin the name of a good franchise. Granted there have been exceptions. That being said, i always thought that a properly made legend of zelda would be remarkable, despite the horridly ugly IGN april fool's trailer
Bioshock had one of the most interesting stories I've ever come across in a video game. I know a movie is already being made, I just hope it doesn't suck like the rest of them.

A Zelda movie would be awesome if they make it properly.
Link would have to be a mute like in the game and only grunt when attacking.
I personally would like to see a Golden Sun movie. This game would make an amazing movie. Especially since the game has dialog, a storyline, quite a few protagonists, antagonists and a developing storyline.
I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,

and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

roll you, and smoke the ashes.

I loved the Brothers in Arms games, and they had a solid story in them and war movies are good, I think they would make very good WWII movies.

What about a Super Mario Bros movie? It would be cool to see it in live action.

SHADOW OF THE COLLOSUS. Think about it! Giant CGI monsters, a FREAKING LIVING LIGHTHOUSE, and a cool horse!

I sorta liked the trailer the only thing that sucked were the characters , like they dont even resemble them except for the clothes. If they fixed that I might see it.

I think at this point history has proven you can't make a great video game movie, passable is pretty much the best you can do.

Sarah Carter naked? Hell yeah!
Actually, I think Advent Rising would be a good movie too. It kind of follows some well known sci-fi storylines at times, but even if they just put it in the background action it would be cool.
There's a part where people are running away from an alien attack behind you trying to get out of the space ship your in. You're trying to help a friend who got shot get to an escape pod too(slowing your movement and only giving you one free hand to use a gun with), as you're walking toward the screen. Behind you you can see everyone fleeing down a hallway. Suddenly there's a huge explosion and people go flying. They just lay dead until you leave the area. That game had some awesome attention to detail to create the event going on all around you.
OK, I don't know how I thought of this but The Lost Vikings might be halfway entertaining. They put out the horrid CGI Beowulf when a much better one was being made and released and people seemed ok with it.
Plus, at least the characters are interesting, they go to interesting places, and Baleog even asks teh question of moving slow because he has infinite arrows in his quiver. He'd be the Middle Age Rambo, never reloading.
