It's not compatible, which sucks terribly. It's one of the reasons I'm not getting the game. I'll just be waiting for GH4 instead.

Didn't the guitars used to be compatible? The only thing that sucks is that you have to buy a second RB guitar controller for four player support.

I keep hearing that, but honestly I think I like the RB guitar better. The buttons are closer together. The strummer is a lot more resistant though, which is probably what people dislike.
Anyone know if the Nyko Frontman Guitar works with Rock Band?

Despite what the box says, the game is indeed four player. I've only played with three though, what with not having another compatible guitar.
There is no online play, but who cares? If you want to play Rock Band online, you're missing the point of the game entirely.
Character editor is another big who cares.
The lack of DLC is fucking gay and it pisses me off greatly. $30 append discs are no substitute. That's Nintendo's fault though, not Harmonix.

I own it on 360, so it's not really my bitching. I was jsut curious because people ask me at work, and of course I wasn't sent any sellign materials on it.
I just downloaded the disturbed pack. man I'm a shitty drummer.

I wasn't attacking you personally. But the lack of online play is a complaint I've heard a couple times, and I don't really get it. Rock Band is only fun when you're in the same room as your drunk friend who insists on singing "In Bloom" like an asshole, because that's the way Kurt Cobain would have sang it live.
As for the 360 version, rumor is that they're releasing a smoke machine and light kit for it.

Most Rock Band songs are easy as shit anyway and require a lot less strumming than most Guitar Hero charts, even on Expert. So it doesn't really matter that much. I can barely play Guitar Hero on Hard but I do pretty well on Expert when I play Rock Band.
Drums, on the other hand...

In order to play the drums on expert I need someone to play the foot pedal while I drum, so in essence it could be considered a 5 player game.

I've seen the fog machine at gamestop, and was completely dumbfounded. that's right up there with the guitar hero air guitar belt buckle.
so let's spend a hundred and fifty on the game, eighty on a second guitar, and then another hundred for a fuckign fog machine. brilliant!
fuck it, I only bought the game to play welcome home and perfect insanity.

you can use the GH guitar on the 360 version of RB, and i think i read somewhere that the ps3 would get a patch to have that fixed so you can use the GH guitar too. im not sure about the wii version.
and i suck at ALL instruments
