I seriously liked Super Mario Bros The Movie. I don't go out of my way to re-watch it, but if it's on cable, I'll sit down and rewatch it.

The Wizard was a shameless plug for SMB3 disguised by the lamest two bit story ever. At least it taught everyone the trick to get the whistle.

Same here. I don't care if it has nothing to do with the games, that city kicks ass.

The Wizard is one of my favorite movies, sure it's a shameless plug for a SMB3, but its the journey to it that makes it my favorite. That and Fred Savage was the man. He always told bitches how it is.

The Wizard is a fun enough film.
Super Mario Bros has some great talent in it and I love it as a stand alone sci-fi film.
I love Double Dragon for the same reasons. That cyber punk-ish future was rad.

The SF movie was total shit. MK was (a little) better though.

I seventh liking the Super Mario Bros. movie. The concept can never be really "done" in live action, so what are people complaining 'bout?

The Wizard misses my top ten all time favorites by one spot. I made a list of my all time top 25 and it was number eleven. I've probably seen this movie more than anybody.

It would appear that it was a Nintendo plug. But for whatever reason, I believe the word 'Nintendo' is only used once when the call the helpline. I was never sure why. Even when they get the Nintendo Power mags, she just calls them 'Power magazines'.

I tried to hunt down all of the songs from the movie. But for some reason, everytime somebody posts a link on IMDB, it gets removed. Also, it always gets removed from file sharing sites. A soundtrack was never released, and they don't want anyone to get the songs by any other means. Fuck whoever is responsible for this. I had it on my old comp before it got zapped. I'll get it again.

FUCK unreleased songs. Piracy FTW!

I actually really liked the SF movie. It fit so perfectly as a B-type movie. You cant go wrong with Raul Julia as M. Bison.

Random fact: Haley in the Wizard is the girl who formed the band Rilo Kiley... if that means anything to any of you.

Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy....

Oh, wait, we were talking about something?

Is DD even really a "Nintendo-based" movie? Sure, it APPEARED on NES/SNES/GB, but wasn't it an arcade game, first and foremost?
