The only game that made me wish I owned a genesis back in the day was X-Men, and looking back now, it wasn't even that good of a game. Oh, and they also had SFII SCE before SFII Turbo came out for SNES. That had me kind of jealous for a minute. Seriously though, one of my neighbors had genesis and I always thought my SNES versions of the games he had looked much better. He would even agree with me...usually. The sound was miles better on SNES like Douche mentioned.

Sega Genesis: self explanatory. Yeah, the sound was bad, but it could do hard rock music and guitar wayyyyy better than the SNES. Example: Target Earth and Contra: Hard Corps.

Atari Lynx: Ewww. Almost none of the games are good maybe except the port of Rygar and Electrocop.

PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16: Great system with lots of games, especially in the way of RPGs (Ys Book 1 and 2), shooters (Blazing Lazers, and the later Star Soldier games) and other shit like Alien/Devil's Crush.

Amstrad GX4000: What the fuck?

Neo Geo: FUCK YEAH. Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, KoF, Samurai Shodown mad shit.

Amiga CDTV: I don't know.

SNES: Needs no introduction.

Supervision: Why do you want a Game Boy ripoff with basically no games 'cept a Gradius clone?

Sega Nomad: Good if you wanna take your Genesis games portable. I'll stick to emulating them on a DS tho.

I never had an SNES back in the day, but from what I've heard through emulation, I kind of prefer the Genesis sound chip over the SNES one. The SNES might be "better" at sound and music, but the Genesis had a certain sound that I liked better. Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking, though.

I always liked the Genesis, because I'm a huge shooter nut. The more powerful processor (that's where the "blast processing" stuff came from) allowed for faster shooters with more objects one screen with little slowdown. I still play M.U.S.H.A, Fire Shark, Sagaia, Sol-Deace, and Steel Empire regularly to this day.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.
