Evangelion 64 is a sweet semi-obscurity; Pokemon Snap is great, and Shadowgate definitely has its moments, although it was and still is really unpopular.

I know that Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye 007 and Super Smash Bros. have been mentioned. Those games are timeless classics.
Honestly, I kind of liked Cruis'n USA and Cruis'n World. Those games were actually pretty good at the time they were released, though I don't know how good you believe they are now. I have the latter of the two, and I like it.
I also bought Resident Evil 2 in recent months from a used game store and liked it. It will require an expansion pack to use, but it's worth it in my opinion.

I liked that game, especially with that cutesy theme.
And now, I'm probably going to get my ass handed to me.

Mario Party 2 was good fun, as was Mario Tennis. Hell, anything with Mario in the name besides Mario Golf on the 64 was good.

I played through RE2 without the expansion pack just fine. The textures were slightly lower resolution and I think the load times might have been a little longer, but whatever. It was still very playable.

This. Chance Time was bullshit though. And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one here who completely hated Mario Golf.

Mario Tennis good; Mario Golf bad.
MP2 was also good the way you wore different shit depending on the board you choose.

while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

roll you, and smoke the ashes.

Mario golf wasn't bad for a golf game. I didn't mind it at all. Mario tennis was more fun though.

OK then. I just thought it was required because it detected the Expansion Pack on my N64. Anyway, if it's still playable on the N64 without it, then I guess it's fine.

At least the GameCube Rogue Squadron games let you fight in space.

Weren't those limited to the third game? But yes, they did.

Star Wars Shadows of the Empire was sweet, also no one has mentioned killer instinct gold...it was a pretty deep fighter. Blast corps is incredible and fuck what anyone says, mario golf is awesome.

Ewww. Quest 64.
I can't believe nobody has mentioned Bomberman 64, the sequel, and Bomberman Hero. The series needs more games with adventure modes like that and not all these... party games, which are kinda fun, but missing the point.

This. A thousand times this. Also Rogue Squadron.
Has anyone mentioned Paper Mario? That's a good one too. Same with Mega Man 64.

I have NHL 99 and Goldeneye with OoT on the way. I think I will take Goldeneye back because at 20$ i don't like it enough, i can probably get it cheaper on ebay.
It's hard as shit to get used to the controls, i need 2 thumbsticks and the inverted up and down is infuriating, and i don't think you can change it
