Knyte, I didn't know you had a kid. I have a son that is gonna be two next month. I guess I never brought it up...well...because it just never came up before. But if you hear me making references to Barney or a Thomas and Frends toy collection that I swear to God isn't mine, this is why.

That's cool. I have a son named Aidan. He still won't sit down and watch Transformers: The Movie (1986) with me. But he'll watch the hell out of some little kid shows.
He will watch Spongebob though. Since it reminds me of a mild watered down version of Ren & Stimpy, I don't mind watching it so much.

Something my dad (passed away a year and some months ago for the newer members) did really touched me, and I it remember to this day. One night when I woke him up at 7 p.m. so he could head off to Delta for 3rd shift (8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.), he saw that I looked bored. After eating his breakfast (dinnerfare of course), he used a sick day to take me by Blockbuster and rent something. I don't remember what I rented but the gesture alone is what I keep with me.

Actually, now that I think about it, my kid got more things than I did yesterday. Toys, toys, toys. But they did take me out to eat though. Twice. So it was a good day.
