Any of you guys like Pablo Francisco?

"Morgan Freeman. Keanu Reeves. They knew too much."
"We know too much."
"They went too far."
"We went to far."

I'll agree with what you said. But when people talk about him, they tend to over do it a little bit. People like to pretend he is still trying to play Ted in all his roles. By the way, Bill & Ted is his best movie IMO. Well, maybe its not his best, but its my favorite.

Lest not forget Devil's Advocate...great fucking piece of film right there.

What else would you expect with Al Pacino as the devil? Reeves was good too. But he could have fucked it up and Pacino still makes the movie good.

If only the same were true for: Simone, Gigli, Insomnia, Two for the Money, 88 Minutes, etc.

Granted, Al Pacino is wonderfully hammy in all of those, but a good movie they don't make.

The only one I will disagree with is Two for the Money. I found it to be a pretty good film. Atleast I think so, thats the one where they are a sports bet hotline right?

I didn't think Insomnia was too bad. I could feel the restlessness that his character was experiencing. I also like seeing Robin Williams playing a "bad guy" role. Granted, it wasn't amazing by any means. But I didn't have any problems watching it more than just once.

I never did watch Gigli. Not because of the bad reception. Just because I didn't think it looked good enough for me to go out of my way to see it. Whether its a contender for "worst movie ever" as I've heard several people claim, I wouldn't know.

I don't remember this that well. I only watched it once. But I didn't think it was too bad.

Correct and it wasn't a story I care anything about, so that's probably why I didn't enjoy it. I remember it being alright, but like those other Pacino films, really mediocre.

I love Robin Williams as a bad guy, but you're correct on that it wasn't amazing. Al Pacino is a great actor, Robin makes a great villain, Nolan is loved by some, but all those elements didn't come together for that film. It's not terrible, but it's not exactly a movie anyone should go out of their way to see. Now, if you're channel surfing and its on, might as well check it out.

"Gigli" is an extreme guilty pleasure for me. It is HORRIBLE, but it is so bad it's good. Pacino and Walken each are in it for one scene, but they steal the film from Affleck and Lopez. I mean, they decimate them with their acting. I usually like Affleck, but he was not in the proper mindset in that film. Confused

Matthew McConaughey. He's fucking awful, and he's been considered to play Captain America. HE'S TOO FUCKING OLD TO BE CAPTAIN AMERICA.

Vincent D'Onofrio is also absolutely terrible. He chews so much scenery on Law & Order: Criminal Intent that it's no wonder he's overweight. He plays Detective Goren like a second-rate Columbo and his "I Can't Possibly Be This Fucking Stupid" routine is nowhere near as endearing as Peter Falk's.

Finally, Steven Seagal. You know that goofy face that Colin Quinn would make when he played DeNiro on SNL? That's what Steven Seagal's face looks like ALL THE TIME. People criticize Stallone and Schwarzenegger for their range, but Seagal is far worse. Seagal's movies should emoticons in the corner of the screen so you know what mood he's trying to convey. Also, NECK SNAP is not a mood.

A lot of older actors aren't bad actors, or weren't, but they don't have any range anymore. Jack Nicholson plays the same character over and over again. Walken plays the same character over again. Pacino and DeNiro too. These guys are awesome as hell, but as of late, they always seem to play their characters the way the audience EXPECTS them to.

Once again, I'm gonna reference Dazed and Confused. I love Wooderson. Cracks my shit up. I wouldn't say Matthew McConaughey is anything special. But I could listen to him talk all day. It just cracks me up. While I don't necessarily think of Wooderson enough to destract me from the movie he is in, its enough to make me think of that role and laugh.

Criminal Intent is my least favorite Law & Order. I don't mind D'Onofrio. Actually I like his character. The thing I don't like about the show in general is that we get to see the story from both sides of the law. I don't like knowing what happened. I like figuring it out when the cops/DA do. I don't want to see the criminals plotting, committing the crime, alluding the police, etc.

I don't care one way or another when it comes to Seagal. Sometimes I like him, sometimes I don't. I like the idea that just because he knows karate (or whatever) he isn't above using weapons. A crane kick is pretty cool and all. But to quote Han Solo, its "no match for a good blaster at your side". I wouldn't go out of my way to watch Seagal though.

I totally agree with your last paragraph about great actors becoming predictable.

I actually like d'Onofrio. I don't think Goran is supposed to be stupid so much as neurotic. I think he's a great character actor. His roles in The Breakup and The Salton Sea were good.

Yeah he's an awesome character actor. He was THOR! He is so different physically and playing the part from movie to movie. I don't watch Law and order, but his roles in film are always excellent.

No, Goren isn't stupid at all. But he pretends to be stupid and asks suspects stupid questions in order to trick them into admitting something that ties them to the murder. But D'Onofrio overplays the part to the point where you can't believe the perp falls for it, because no police detective with a long distinguished career could possibly be as stupid as Goren pretends to be.

I don't like Kevin Pollack, I know it's random, but he gets on my nerves so bad. And I'm partial to Sinbad.

I like Kevin Pollack, but I can see how he can be annoying. Kevin Spacey annoys me sometimes.

Chris Tucker rapes my soul every time I see a movie of his, which is once in my life. I guess I should give the man another shot.

i like will ferrell, even though i must admit his movies have gotten less and less funny.

i also like adam sandler. his serious movies are hit or miss w/me but his funny movies can be funny (except little nicky got too annoying for me)

jack black is funny too. nacho libre was hilarious, even if its just a kids movie, i still thought it was funny.

and chris tucker hasnt made anything funny in a long time. i was very very disappointed w/rush hour 3

In all fairness, there are a lot more people to choose from in a comedy than those three.

Of those three, I like Vince the best. I actually think he is pretty funny. The more seriouis his character, the funnier he is.

I have a hard time getting into Jack Black. His over the top style doesn't always appeal to me. I have to be in a certain mood to tolerate his stuff. On top of that, a lot of people tell me I look like him. I can't see it at all. My mother in law thinks I look like him. A couple of my buddies think I do. I was walking into Best Buy one time and this little girl tells her dad, "Look, its Jack Black!" I'm like, WTF, I don't think I look like Jack Black at all. When I worked at a movie store, I had somebody tell me I looked like him too.

I don't know. I think he has pretty good timing. I'm not super impressed. But I see qualities he has that can't be taught. I haven't watched a whole lot of his stuff. But from what I have seen, I think he might have some untapped talent. He did also win an emmy for Even Stevens. But then again, in the category he won, its not like there was fierce competition.

I think Shia gets a lot of shit because he just has a weenieness to him. His acting actually isn't bad.
