I've lost track of all the games featured, but some of the things I can't wrap my head around:

* Robotnik's in the art (next to ROB, who seems ot have gotten a Triforce icon), as is the Sega logo (Luigi in the car with Roll). Think we'll be getting older generation Sega games too?

* Pacman enjoying the benefits of Mario 3's raccoon leaf.

* Beat carrying an enemy from Dig Dug.

* Mouser and Bomberman throwing bombs together.

* Firebrand flying in pursuit of Pit.

* ProtoMan/Blues leaping away with Peach under his arm.

* Who're the big guys in the upper left corner?

I wanna know where Roy Koopa Jr. got that giant mech, and why the words 'rap ME' are written on the pyramid. But most importantly, why Kirby and Simon Belmont seem to have had a child together.

Kirby ate Simon and stole his power. That should be obvious.

It's Morton Koopa Jr... Also the pyramid says "Help Me" on it. It's from Taito's classic arcade game The New Zealand Story:

I don't think that part appears in the NES port though. Also, I like how Luigi is driving the car from Outrun.

upper left corner is the final boss from ghosts and goblins, and I don't know the other one.

honorable mentions go to the guy from adventure island, kid dracula, flicky (right above cutman) the chef from burgertime, and mr. game and watch (all the way on the left of the yellow devil and the own form zelda).

god man, if you can paly game and watch gaems n virtual console I'm gonan die.

I'm surprised no one's commented that Pac-Man is dressed like Mario from SMB3.

I think Pac-Man Jr's on the bridge below Tal Tal Heights/Wind Fish's Egg.

Also, I just recognized Dr. Andonauts form Earthbound 1 around Wily and Robotnik. And I'm pretty sure that's Bonk inside the Vic Viper with the Pac-Man decal on the side.

Looking at the games, they seem to be primarily be games from Nintendo, Taito, Namco, Sega, and Capcom.

Favorite thing in the picture: The yellow mini-boss guy from Mega Man holding Lolo and Lala.

It's probably based on the orginal artwork from way back, for the Japanese version of the game called "Puck Man":

Are you sure that this is official nintendo art for the Wii? I heard somewhere that it was a fan-made thing. I dunno.

Don't forget Luigi and Roll in a Sega car. Possibly the single most juxtaposition-packed item in the picture. Roll clearly doesn't enjoy it, anyway.

Who's the blue knight guy near the bottom with the Leaf Shield, and why did he choose such a craptastic weapon to steal from Megaman? If I could pick up one of Megaman's weapons, I'd choose Thunder Beam or Atomic Fire, or at the very least Rolling Cutter.

sir, the tornado hold is obviously the best and most overpowered megaman weapon ever, as shown in marvel vs. capcom.

I also forgot to mention the scientist from gyromite is in this promo.

I'd pick the Naplam Bomb. Sure, not the most original name, but killing evil robots with an explosive red football filled with flaming goo sounds sort of fun. Maybe I need to visit my psychologist.
