As much fun as it is to solo ROMs, it would be a lot cooler if I could use the netplay thing I've seen on the emus I've used to play with or against other people. Anybody know how I can do that?

AFTER WAITING: Well, I guess nobody knows then, at least right now. I'll leave this up in case anyone figures it out. Maybe I'll check out CS: Source or something in the meantime.

I think Jnes has a netplay feature, but I have no idea how to use it. Try reading the documentation for Jnes.

EDIT: Nevermind, the Kaillera site has been taken down with no explanation, and that's what Jnes used for netplay. DAMN IT! (I assume this means you can't play anymore)

Snes9X has it I don't know if or how it works though.

EDIT: After looking at it I think as long as someone is acting as a server you just connect by using their ip address.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

Yeah, SNES9X is pretty good. That's what me and Tebor used.

Anti3D.com is basically the unofficial official Kailerra servers.

Zsnes uses direct IP connect. If you know how to port forward that works. Otherwise you can use Snes9x, but that emulator is fucking ugly and lame in full screen.

Most emus are ugly in full screen, especially the NES ones, everything looks so wide. My Snes9x isn't bad, though; even in full screen, the actual display is narrowed, so everything looks pretty good(Out of this World is an exception).

Thanks for the advice, folks, I have Snes9x, so that'll help. NES-wise, I use VirtuaNES.

Snes9x is fine in full screen but you have to configure some shit on it (usually).

Yeah, bump the res and use the super sal shader, or something like that... it really softens up the pixelation.

I just remember it having really limited options for ratio aspects, but zsnes let you have it stretch or be in the real ratio.

Snes9x is definitely the best choice for netplay, kaillera makes everything easier.

I netplay with people in a intranet setting really easily with zsnes, and I know you can remotely connect with other computers.

Okay, I got the IP from Kailerra, and everything seems to be working, except that I can't actually connect to netplay. It tries to connect, but it never gets past 0%. Anyone know how to shoot this trouble? And don't suggest a shotgun, I already tried that.

EDIT: Okay, I think I got the snes figured out; turns out I need Snes9k, not 9x. Now I need to figure out how to use kailerra with Jnes. I don't know what to put in the ROM directory.

EDIT2: Alright, never mind, netplay still isn't working at all for me. Mayhaps someone knows a good tutorial or two.
