I'll consider that when no other options are left. In the meantime, I'm getting virtuanes. Sounds a lot better than what I've got.
I have a similar problemwith Nestopia, not sure if thats what you are using, but yea VirtuaNes seems to work the best.

I think I'm finished with this challenge for this round. I can't beat my current best and to math Not Sure's time got to figure out where to shave about 45 seconds That's hard to do when it feels like you're having a perfect run.
If anyone wants to offer some advice, feel free, but I think I'll be hard pressed to get better than this (aside from some real stupidity at the end of the dam side-scrolling part)
If you iron out your bad hits and jumping problem near the end you'll easily be looking at about 5:30. Study other videos posted here too. After your done, don't forget to sacrifice your TMNT emulated game to the Game Gods in a big burning inferno of gasoline started fire.
Okay, folks, I have good news and bad news. Good news is, I have Virtuanes up and running, and it's working great. It appears to have a more convenient record function that lets me overwrite a run that didn't go well without having to manually delete the damn file.
Bad news: ever since getting virtuanes, I haven't been able to BEAT THIS DAMN CHALLENGE!!! I do not understand. With nestopia, I managed to beat this twice in a ROW, yet the movie wouldn't convert. Now, with this new program that's about 90% similar to nestopia, I CAN'T FUCKING WIN! DX
I guess I should've just thrown the nestopia movie at Douche so he could convert it after all.
I want you all to repeat after me:

Well, here's my final entry for this week's contest. Rather good job I must say.

I took a much needed day off of this game, but you know, there's always the steamroller to run over your turtles... maybe I'll fire the Emulator up again.
I don't think people who didn't submit should get that many points. The difference between an effort and none should be more than a point.
Also, though I feel less strongly about this, higher places should be weighted more. First place should be worth, say, 3 points more than second. Then things get closer as the places get lower. Example: First: 32, 2nd 29, 3rd 27, 4th 25, 5th 24, 6th 23, and on down the line.
And actually, Satsui is right about the top place points too. Played Mario Kart? The gap gets wider the higher you consistently place due to the difference in points making you have to do better to stay competitive.
I have to agree with Satsui. I finished eighth, but am only 4 points ahead of 22 people who submitted nothing. They should get a big, fat goose egg.
Oh, and what's the rule on robots competing in the competition? I don't think they should be allowed to and i'm pretty sure Not Sure is a robot.

I think this should be the case too. If you submit nothing and you get last place points, its obvious last place points must be 0. Since you didn't even attempt the task, why get points for it?
