It's been happening for years. I watch that show every time it's on and think myself a better person for doing so, but I keep dozing off during it and nothing I do seems to help. Anyone have any explanations and/or suggestions?

Run out and comit some unspeakable atrocity so you end up on the show, then you'll always be on the edge of your seat. Smile

It's not been as captivating as it was even a couple years ago. It's too much "this old woman braved a purse snatching, she is our hero this week". They need to start talking about more serious crimes rather than robberies and shit.

My heart goes out to John Walsh though, that man, is a real man.

I forgot to point out that watching a television show will never make you a better person.

Bullshit! Watching countless hours of tv has turned me into a helluva guy.

EDIT: I watch Food Network and now I'm a better cook. Does that count?

If you watch enough CSI you'll know how to kill someone a get away w/it 'cuz you know what not to do.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

All you need is your own chop shop and your own butcher shop. You just carjack them and get rid of all the evidence. NEVER kill somebody at their home or yours. Never use your car. Always destroy any materials used, including your clothes, rope, tape, etc. You can use a gun for the abduction, never for inflicting damage.

If there's one thing that I've learned from TV, it's that you'll never ever get away with murder. Homicide detectives are fiercely dedicated to their jobs and they have unlimited resources and money to spend on each and every murder case. They will catch you, even if it looks like they won't. At the last second, they'll find that one clue that ties you to the murder.

Ya, right when it looks like the hour of the show is going to end without catching the guy, they find that clue all right.

Now, in real life, it's possible to get away with murder, hard, but possible.

Fuck the last second. I was watching a show with a cold case from a random murder in California in like the 50's or something. Nothing to go by. I can't remember what exactly happened for them to finally get a brake in the case, but they finally nailed the guy. He was like 70 now with a family and great grandkids and shit like that. It was some shit like the guy was young and was down on his luck so he decided to commit a robbery, allegedly the only one he'd ever commited (I think). But things went awry and he ended up shooting someone.

It goes to show you, you're never in the clear.

Hasn't anyone seen Blue Streak? With Martian Lawrence and Dave Chapelle.

Whatever spoilers if you haven't seen it (its and older movie anyway)

He (Martian Lawrence) steals a big fucking diamond goes to jail for awhile after he hide the diamond in a building being built. He goes back and it's a cop building he pretends he is a cop while he looks for the diamond. Either way in the end he has the diamond end he is in Mexico.

Off topic: Is the America's Most Wanted episode of Who Shot Mr. Burns on DVD?

So, that's a no. AMW had a Simpsons crossover before part 2 aired. I have it on tape, but I'd love a DVD copy. Sad

So wait what, AMW a serious show dedicated to stopping murderinos and rapearunis aired a who shot Mr. Burns Crossover? Confused Or are you referring the spoof in the first episode? I all sorts of mixed up now.

It was hosted by John Walsh and went through who could've shot Mr. Burns. I think their team decided it was either Homer or Smithers.

Use to watch this show during the late afternoons (despite the fact that I don't live in the States)....do they still do those fictional re-enactments of the killer and their crimes?

I'd think they'd be better off spending their time and resources providing us a more extensive list of criminals than focusing on one or two and scare you by showing what they did.
