Throughly enjoyable.

not to bump a dead thread, but i was reading about the turtles on wikipedia.
wikipedia mentions that all the turtles are the same age because they were all hit by the mutagen at the same time and discovered by splinter at the same time.
now, in the original arcade game, the profiles of the turtles would show that Leo was 16 years old, whereas the other turtles were all 15 years old (im going off memory since i dont have the rom of it).
anyone have an answer for that? or an explanation? or anything to add/clarify?

The mutagen doesn't mean shit when it comes to thier ages, unless they are only counting thier age from when they were mutated. Then, yes they would all be the same age.
The real question, is if they are all from the same batch of eggs or not. If they were, then they are still the same age. But, if they are from different mothers, or different batches of ages, then they have different ages.
Go ask Eastman or Laird.

i can understand that reasoning, but its all just conflicting information that unfortunately never got resolved.
the new cartoons and comics say one thing (all turtles are same age), but that one screen in the arcade game still bothers me when it shows Leonardo as a turtle who is 1 year older.
eh, i guess im making a bigger deal about it than i should be.

actually the new series with its dark tone is much much closer to the original black and white comic. the 80s toon series dumbed down raph way too much. he wasnt a smart aleck he was the crazy psycho one.

You're better off just catching the eps on youtube or torrents, seeing as I think the 00's series isn't airing anymore (then again I don't have CW or the Fox Box in my broadcast area).

I gotta agree that I do like the newer series a little better because it is very much true, or at least a lot more true, to the comics. I especially love the utroms, and the battle nexus. Now I do love the original for all that it is worth, and the CBS later seasons with the red and grey sky aren't bad. They are interested because they were a little darker, but the strange stupid shit where the turtles, along with a human martial artist, would mutate and the turtles would be huge and prehistoric idiots, and the human all yellow and alien like, that was just stupid, albeit it a bit funny though.
