Kaizo Mario World is just a crazy hard hack of SMW, so it controls exactly like SMW. That video is of a bunch of save states (using them is the only way to get anywhere in the game) of someone playing through the first level, superimposed on each other. You don't really get to play as a million marios. Here's what the gameplay actually looks like:
