I've heard a bit of discussion but am not sure if they are making another.
Anyone know? that would be fucking insane on a next gen engine, the first one was great the second was solid.

Yeah, I loved the first one. Never beat it or played the second one, but it was a great game.

From Wookiepedia:
Quote: |
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was developed by a different studio, Obsidian Entertainment, using an improved version of the engine from the first game. It was released for Xbox in December 2004 and PC in February 2005. Obsidian has also expressed desires to make another sequel, as has LucasArts. However, no plans have been made in making another Knights of the Old Republic game, although representatives from LucasArts have said that they will not abandon the "franchise."
In a March 2007 interview with the owners of LucasArts Fan network, conducted by a Knights of the Old Republic fansite, owner "Aristotle" commented to "stay tuned" for a third Knights of the Old Republic.
Electronic Gaming Monthly reports in the rumors section of its May 2007 issue that BioWare has hired an online team for work on a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on Knights of the Old Republic. |

Fuck, I really hope that the next game is not an MMO. Those type of games don't appeal to me at all. I want something similar to the first 2 games that just continues the storyline since KOTOR2 left a lot of shit unfinished at the end. Also, leave it turn based please. None of those bullshit combat elements from Jade Empire and Mass Effect.

Don't know if we'll ever see another Star Wars game from Bioware now that they are own by EA.
Since EA and Lucasarts are two competing publishers, I doubt EA would loan Bioware to them.

What doesn't EA own...if they didn't own Square-Enix I would boycott them.

Star Wars Galaxies was a Star Wars MMO that I would consider "in between". Not really good but not too bad.

I think star wars galaxies would have been great if they didn't keep trying to "fix" it
