I always prepare my own food even though I don't know what I'm doing. I usually just randomly mix a bunch of shit together, like ramen and refried beans. Yesterday I concocted a particularly gross looking but surprisingly tasty something-or-other, pictured here for your drooling and/or flapping pleasure.

Image

The ingredients were:

ground chicken
onions
jalapeƱos

then flour, salt, pepper, milk, crushed red pepper from pizza hut and "death sauce" (look it up)

then white rice

topped with cheese and Tabasco

So ITT, those who fend for themselves, share your recipes/eating habits (noting that ramen and refried beans is already taken Smile )

One time I attempted to make fried okra with a can of pickeled okra.

I would not recomend it.

I love cooking for others, especially if it's Mexican food, but if I'm only cooking for myself, I usually just put some junk food in the oven or microwave. The one thing that I've learned from that though is that you can put basically anything on a pizza. I just put whatever I have left over on there and the outcome usually isn't too bad.

I just finished a plate of poutine. You don't have to be Canadian to enjoy fries covered in cheese and gravy.

Other than I eat the same thing everyday, chicken and pasta.

There never was an image here, what the fuck are you talking about?

I always wanted to try poutine.

Being from the southern US, what I miss most is chicken-fried steak and Tex-Mex (although I have access to Jap-Mex). And Sonic Drive-in, where everything can and should be smothered in ranch dressing.

My favorite old bachlor recipe:

Make a good portion of instant mashed potatoes. (Like 6-10 servings)
Add 1 entire block of Philly Cream Chesse
Add 2 cups Mexican Style Shredded 4 Cheese
Add 1 Cup of Good Deli Made Ranch Dressing

Mix and enjoy.

I still have people, including my wife, ask me to make my famous mashed potatoes.

Kraft Dinner, 1 can of Tuna, pepper, ketchup and/or salsa. Yes.

The Ultimate Soup Ever:

6 packets instant noodles
6 packets instant noodle soup mix
1 clove of garlic
2 jalapeno peppers
2 burger patties
4 or 5 hot dog weiners
1 egg for every person partaking
approx. 1/2 head of cabbage
a few slices of ham
hot sauces
various other meats, vegetables and spice as desired

just kinda throw it all in a pot and let it simmer for a bit.
Special directions:
.throw the patties into the pot, let them boil, take them out, chop them up, throw them back in
.just crack the eggs into the pot
.chop up all the meats and stuff.

Whatever, it fucking rocks

I will say, Richo, that the picture you posted looks like an extraterrestrial abortion. If it tastes good, great; I just didn't want to see that right before I went to bed. Damn.

That may be one of the nastiest things I've ever heard.

This... actually sounds like something I might try.... with a few modifications of course (I can't eat spice 8D). I cook home alone for myself a lot, so new cool recipes are always welcome. 8D

It's too bad you don't eat spices because that really gives it the kick, but it's probably wicked awesome without too.

Saying that I don't eat spices is an understatement. The cheese sauce from Taco Bell makes my mouth burn. 8D It's really quite pathetic.

I was conned in to going to a Korean guy's house and eating homemade kimchi with them once. It burned so bad my mouth actually went numb. I honestly lost feeling in my mouth from the intensity of the burn. Unbelievable. Shocked

Top the off with some chopped green onion and green pepper and I think we got a winner!
Sour cream also could also make for a great addion to the mix an a plate topper

Once my buddies and I got reeeeeeal drunk. They decided to feed me an entire habanero pepper. I believe that's one of the hottest peppers known to man. Yeah, i spent three hours with my face against the can 'just in case', writhing in agony.

And boy was taking a dump in the morning an enjoyable experience.

"Hey Geoff...I just took a shit and it burned, reeeal bad" (assuming it was just the epic amount of booze I drank)

"Oh yeah! hahaha, yeah we fed you a habanero...you said you wanted one *shrug*"

"Son of a bitch!"

I think I would have just died, right on the spot, from the spice. Just died. Yep.

... random, but how do you pronounce "Geoff"? I think I remember some dude on the radio here having problems with that too, cause he said "'Gee-off'... that doesn't sound right... is this a typo? What the hell kind of name is 'Gee-off'?"

it's just like Jeff. Just spelled weird. He's Polish, so...we'll just blame it on that, because we blame his Polishness for everything else.

HAH! Just Jeff? What the hell kind of spelling is that for Jeff?? It's like Stephen for "Steven" and "Sean" for "Shawn" ... ugh. I hate English. :/

I can't cook worth a damn and I hate hate hate cleaning up afterwards. Also, I don't have a dishwasher in my place, so everything has to be washed by hand. Being the lazy fuck that I am, I use paper and plastic everything at all times, which limits what meals I can actually prepare. Basically it's going to be a sandwich and once in a while a frozen pizza. I stay away from microwavable stuff cause most of it is gross and totally bad for you. So yea, I typically make a sandwich for lunch and eat out for dinner. Mexican is my fav and there are a ton of good authentic spots around here on the cheap.

Also, spicy is the only way to eat food for me. I throw loads of hot sauce on everything and anything.
